Local Area

Flowers Hill Grange, Brislington

Flowers Hill Grange, Brislington

Flowers Hill Grange will join an expanding Brislington community in the southern periphery of Bristol. Having undergone expansion and redevelopment in recent years, the area is a sought-after hub of commerce and amenity, benefitting from urban convenience and rural accessibility.

The development is to be situated off Flowers Hill Road, connecting residents to the A4. The local community benefits from easy access routes into Bristol city centre and enjoys its own assembly of retail and hospitality.

This development will fall under the administration of Bristol City Council.

Residents of Flowers Hill Grange benefit from an abundance of natural surroundings, ideal for country walks and outdoor leisure. The local landscape is dotted with some stunning sights, including Conham River Park, Willsbridge Mill, and National Trust’s Leigh Woods – all within a 20-minute drive.

The development’s surrounds offer great leisure attractions for the whole family, too, with Avon Valley Adventure and Wildlife Park and Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm four and 10 miles away, respectively.

Brislington itself offers some unique leisure, with Brislington Meadows a mile away, plus a virtual reality video arcade, and a number of sporting destinations including Knowle Golf Club, Base Gym Bristol, Brislington FC, and Goals Bristol South.

Central Bristol, a 16-minute drive at around three and a half miles away, is a hub of culture with a thriving independent retail and dining scene. The city’s history can be observed in its acclaimed architecture, and its affinity for art is visible throughout.

Families will be pleased to find a network of well-regarded schools within a short journey, catering to children of all ages. For primary school, West Town Lane Academy and Holymead Primary School are both within a mile of the development for an easy drop-off.

For those of secondary school age, Oasis Academy Brislington is a 17-minute walk away, and St Bernadette Catholic Secondary School is an eight-minute drive away, or commutable with the aid of public transport routes.

Bristol is home to a choice of college and university institutions for a range of classic and vocational courses, and Bath Spa University is a 16-minute drive away at its closest point.

Flowers Hill bus stop is a five-minute walk away from the development, and provides regular services to Bristol city centre, Bristol Airport, and Bath.

Keynsham train station is the closest rail service – a nine-minute drive away – while Bristol Temple Meads is a 15-minute drive away (four miles) and serves as a major destination in national rail. From here, trains run to much of the UK, including London, Edinburgh, Manchester, and Cardiff. Rail journeys from Bristol to London take as little as an hour and a half.

Drivers will find the A4 just a minute away in the car, being the most useful connecting road in the area for quick journeys into Bristol and Bath.

Bristol Airport is a 23-minute drive away for destinations worldwide.

Brislington Retail Park is a four-minute walk from Flowers Hill Grange, featuring a popular supermarket for everyday essentials, plus a number of handy department stores. The commercial area is complete with a gym, café, and several fast-food favourites. Condensed retail can also be found in Knowle, a seven-minute drive away, where a collection of shops, a supermarket, Broadwalk Mall, and several eateries can be found along Wells Road.

Central Bristol satisfies all shopping needs, with busy pedestrianised streets, indoor shopping centres, flagship stores, and a succeeding independent retail market. The Bristol Shopping Quarter is under four miles away from the development and offers the most concentrated selection of popular fashion stores and award-winning restaurants, plus is also seasonally home to a sprawling Christmas market.

Bristol’s independent scene is perhaps best exemplified by The Corn Exchange, which houses a community of indoor market stalls inside a Grade 1 listed building, offering an eclectic range of individual gifts, unique clothing, handcrafted items, and street food.

Your monthly repayments

Repayment mortgage
What's this?
If you opt for a repayment mortgage, you will need to make monthly payments to your mortgage lender, which consist of a portion of the amount you originally borrowed (sometimes called the ‘capital balance’), as well as any interested that has been incurred on your loan.
Interest only mortgage
What's this?
Choosing an interest-only mortgage means that you will only need to make monthly payments towards the interest on the amount you originally borrowed. With this type of loan, you don’t need to repay any of the capital balance (the amount you borrowed to buy your home), for the duration of the interest only period.
