Situated in a semi-rural location, Hartwell Park is close to picturesque countryside, allowing plenty of opportunities for outdoor pursuits. The rural village of Hart is just over half a mile away from the development and forms part of the popular Hart to Haswell route – excellent for walkers and cyclists.

Leisure opportunities in Hartlepool are plentiful, Hartlepool Marina boasts a multi-screen cinema, bingo hall and the National Museum of the Royal Navy Hartlepool, home to the oldest British warship still afloat, the HMS Trincomalee.

The town also hosts several parks including Ward Jackson Park, complete with a bandstand, duck pond and café, as well as Summerhill Park, featuring a children’s play area, a bridleway, bird-watching station, visitor centre and a BMX track.

For football fans, Victoria Park is home to Hartlepool United FC and is just three miles away from the development. Golf enthusiasts will be pleased to note that there are two golf courses each within two miles of the development - High Throston Golf Club and Hartlepool Golf Club - the latter of which boasts sea views.

A trip to the seaside can also be enjoyed at nearby Seaton Carew, around twelve minutes’ drive from home. This traditional, seaside town features a stunning beach, a golf club, a mini golf course for children, arcade games and fish and chip restaurants.

Residents of Hartwell Park can benefit from its close proximity to excellent transport links. The development is a short drive from the A179, three minutes from the A19 for the Tyne Tunnel, Sunderland and Teesside, and around a 25-minute car journey from Durham, via the A181.

Hartlepool Transport Interchange is less than a ten-minute drive from Hartwell Park, providing local bus and train services alongside direct trains to London via Grand Central.

For everyday essentials, the nearest supermarket is only half a mile away from Hartwell Park.

Hartlepool town centre can be accessed in just under 10-minutes by car, here visitors will discover a good mix of high street and independent retailers. Hartlepool is also home to several retail and shopping parks. Middleton Grange is the main shopping centre, boasting a variety of stores, as well as a multi-screen cinema and a market hall – the latter of which features independent retailers and food stalls.

A farmers market also takes place once a month, and provides an opportunity to buy fresh, local ingredients and produce.

For dining out, locally there are two pubs within Hart, the nearest village to Upper Warren - The Raby Arms and the White Hart Inn. Hart can be walked to in less than 10 minutes. Both pubs serve a selection of traditional pub food as well as ales, wines and soft drinks. Further choices of eateries are available within Hartlepool. There are several chain restaurants within the town centre, or head down to Hartlepool Marina where there are independent restaurants close by, offering a mix of cuisines including Italian, Thai, and Chinese. Given its close proximity to the coast, Hartlepool is also home to several fish-and-chip restaurants.

For families, there are several well-regarded schools within Hartlepool and the surrounding area. These include Hart First School, which is only 16 minutes’ walk from Hartwell Park, while for secondary education, High Tunstall College of Science and Dyke House Sports and Technical College, can both be accessed within around a five-minute drive.

Further and higher education is also catered for. Hartlepool Sixth Form College provides a range of qualifications for ages 16 and over - including A-Level and BTEC qualifications. Specialist art and design college, The Northern School of Art, has a further education campus at Hartlepool - the college boasts notable creative alumni including film director, Ridley Scott.

Your monthly repayments

Repayment mortgage
What's this?
If you opt for a repayment mortgage, you will need to make monthly payments to your mortgage lender, which consist of a portion of the amount you originally borrowed (sometimes called the ‘capital balance’), as well as any interested that has been incurred on your loan.
Interest only mortgage
What's this?
Choosing an interest-only mortgage means that you will only need to make monthly payments towards the interest on the amount you originally borrowed. With this type of loan, you don’t need to repay any of the capital balance (the amount you borrowed to buy your home), for the duration of the interest only period.
