Excellent transport links – including two metro platforms within a mile – allow for easy access to the city centre, the coast, and Newcastle International Airport, as well as Gateshead and Sunderland.

Centurion Chase is surrounded by leisure, with Centurion Park golf club a short stroll from the development, Wallsend Boys Club four minutes’ walk away, and Benfield Community Centre under a mile away, offering public access to leisure facilities outside school hours.

Richardson Dees Park is a 16-minute walk – or a five-minute bike ride – away; a stunning Victorian park with a café, duck pond, and kids’ play area, as well as outdoor tennis courts and a skatepark. Wallsend Hall Grounds lie adjacent, for a peaceful extended route.

Wallsend is located ideally for the coast, with Tynemouth a 15-minute drive away, or seven stops from Walkergate metro station – a 15-minute journey. Tynemouth, Cullercoats, and Whitley Bay provide popular conveniences alongside stunning beaches.

Newcastle city centre offers a range of history, entertainment, and culture, home to free museums and art galleries, several multi-screen cinemas, plus a range of popular theatres and music venues.

Wallsend and Walker are well-served by schools, with the development being half a mile from both Western Community Primary School and Benfield School secondary, for a short walking commute.

Other primary school options include St Columbas RC Primary School and Walkergate Community School – a five- and six-minute drive away, respectively – while Jesmond Park Academy offers an additional secondary school option, just three miles away and served by public transport.

Higher Education options include Newcastle University – a highly-regarded Russell Group choice – and Northumbria University, as well as Newcastle College, which is one of the largest further education colleges in the UK. All three are within the city centre and less than a 20-minute drive away.

Appletree Gardens-Laurel Crescent bus stop is an 11-minute walk away, offering travel to Whitley Bay as well as Gateshead via Newcastle city centre. Centurion Chase benefits from two metro stations within a mile walk: Walkergate and Wallsend. The metro operates services every 12 minutes, and provides routes to the coast, the city centre, the airport, and across the river to Gateshead and Sunderland. The journey time from Walkergate to Monument is eight minutes.

The Coast Road is a four-minute drive away, and connects the city centre to the coast, passing conveniently through Wallsend. The development is a 15-minute drive away from the A1, Newcastle’s best connection to other eastern towns and cities.

The Metrocentre – one of the UK’s largest shopping centres – is 11 miles away.
