Harold Wood Park is the closest, just under a mile away. With trees, meadows, tennis courts, football pitches, and cricket fields, it is the perfect place to unwind. Other nearby country parks include Weald Country Park and Thorndon Country Park, both of which are around a 15-minute drive away.

Brentwood is just a 16-minute drive away, the desirable destination boasting a leisure centre, golf club, and theatre. In addition, Romford Centre is just four miles away, the popular location home to Namco Funscape – an indoor entertainment facility with bowling lanes, pool tables, an arcade, and indoor dodgems – with the ever-popular Queens Theatre on the outskirts.

For days at the seaside, Southend-on-Sea is 23 miles away, featuring award-winning beaches and picturesque beach huts.

London city centre is reachable in under an hour via public transport, the capital home to endless entertainment, highlights of which include The British Museum and The National Gallery.

Around 16 minutes in the car take residents to New City College, on the outskirts of Hornchurch, and James Hopkins College. The former is moments away from Upminster Bridge Station, with journeys via public transport lasting 40 minutes, and the latter is reached in 25 minutes when taking public transport. Drapers’ Academy boasts a sixth form for those looking to continue their education there.

The University of East London is a 40-minute drive away, with Goldsmiths University a little further out – around 75 minutes on public transport.
