Shopping

There are several supermarkets within a short walk of these new homes in Limehouse, which are convenient for everyday shopping. However, for a superb selection of department stores, high-street brands and designer boutiques, Canary Wharf and Westfield Stratford City malls are around 15 minutes’ drive and 10 minutes’ drive away respectively. They also offer a variety of dining possibilities, from branches of popular restaurant chains and bars, to haute cuisine and menus from around the world.

Leisure

Everyman at Canary Wharf screens new releases, classic films and live events, while the 17-screen Vue cinema at Westfield shows the latest blockbuster movies. Westfield also has a 14-lane bowling alley and hosts special events throughout the year.

Sports facilities nearby include Mile End Park Leisure Centre and Stadium with an athletics track, hockey, netball and football pitches, tennis courts, a gym and two swimming pools. The park also has an arts pavilion used for exhibitions, an ecology zone, climbing wall, a skate park and children’s play areas. Bartlett Park, which is a 10-minute walk from the development, and Langdon Park, a 15-minute walk away, have football pitches, while Poplar Recreation Ground, a mile away, offers netball, basketball and tennis courts.

Transport

For professionals working in the capital, public transport links are excellent. Westferry DLR is a 10-minute walk from the development, and both Langdon Park and Limehouse DLR can be reached on foot in 15 minutes. National rail services also stop at Limehouse, connecting Southend and Shoeburyness in Essex with London Fenchurch Street. The nearest London Underground stations is Mile End, which is less than 20 minutes’ walk from Explorer’s Wharf and is on the Central, District and Hammersmith & City lines. Major roads easily accessible from the development include the A11, the A12 and the A13. City Airport is 15 minutes’ away by car via the A1261 and the A13.
