There are also plans to include a cycle path and walkway around the edge of the development, with direct access to Rutland Water Nature Reserve. Here, walk among 4,200 acres of green open space and get involved in the water sports.
Be just one mile from the town centre. Residents can catch a ride to the town on the Hopper bus, which regularly stops outside the development. With Rutland Country Museum, Oakham Castle, and Rutland Farm Park– which has animals to say hello to and family-friendly events – there’s plenty to enjoy. Melton Mowbray is a 20-minute drive away – or half an hour away when taking the bus – the market town featuring a theatre and escape room, among other exciting leisure.
Reach the city attractions of Leicester in just 45 minutes’ drive and enjoy the diverse range of music, sports and culture there – including the National Space Centre and Leicester Cathedral. Or, reach the city in under an hour via public transport; walk for 20-minutes to Oakham Railway Station, then catch a 30-minute train.
