A new life in Scotland got off to a flying start for these first-time buyers.
A new life in Scotland got off to a flying start for Freddie Watts and Doug Smith when they set eyes on their new Bellway home in the village of Winchburgh.
Freddie, a pilot, and Doug, a flight attendant, met while working at Gatwick Airport, but new jobs found them looking to relocate back to Scotland where they are both originally from.
First-time buyers, the couple were keen to live near Edinburgh Airport and close to Linlithgow and South Queensferry, locations they enjoy visiting, and set about looking for their dream home.
Little did they know, things were about to take off when they visited Bellway’s sales office at Winchburgh Grange.
Freddie explains, “I couldn’t believe when we visited Winchburgh Grange and met the sales consultant, Melissa, as it turns out we’d both previously worked together as cabin crew for the same airline – it’s a small world!”
The couple, who were attracted to Winchburgh because of its connectivity and the fact that it’s an up-and-coming area, went on to purchase a Benbecula house style, a three-bedroom terraced home.
