A family from London has relocated to Dartford after buying their first ever property at Bellway London’s Copperhouse Green development in the town. Muhammed Ullah and Samia Akter, husband and wife, explain how the move has been ideal for their 11-year-old son and eight-year-old daughter.
Samia and Muhammed had been renting a two-bedroom apartment in the London borough of Redbridge before they moved to Copperhouse Green, located right next to Dartford Central Park, with their two children.
Muhammed said: "It was obvious that the location of Copperhouse Green was just perfect for us since it is less than a 10-minute drive from our son’s school. We also knew that this neighbourhood would be more suitable for our daughter – she’s a lot happier now in Dartford as it is so much quieter and far less crowded than the busy area where we were living before."
The family appreciate the space and quality they’ve now got with their modern, energy-efficient new-build home.
Muhammed says: “The best thing about a newly built property is that it allows you to just move in without worrying about maintenance costs or renovation. We have come to appreciate how this apartment is better insulated than the old one we were living in before. That’s a huge benefit for us right now as the cost of living increases, because we do not have to keep the heating on for as long as we used to."

Muhammed said: "It was an amazing feeling to get the keys to our new home because we have wanted to get on the property ladder for many years and so it was a dream come true for us. This apartment is also bigger than the second-floor flat we had in Redbridge. It is also more convenient for us, as since it is on the ground floor it is a bit easier to get in and out, especially with the children."
