Education

Families are well catered for, with a selection of well-regarded schools nearby, including Towcester C of E Primary School, which is only five minutes’ walk from the development, while Nicholas Hawksmoor Primary School can be reached in 12 minutes by foot.

For older students, Sponne School is a highly regarded secondary school, catering for 11 to 18 year-olds and is around a 15-minute walk away.

For those interested in higher education, the University of Northampton is around a half an hour drive from home, while the University of Buckingham is approximately 20 minutes by car.  

Transport

Farriers Court benefits from great commuter links to Milton Keynes and Northampton. There are a range of good local road links, including ease of access to the A5 - leading to Milton Keynes in the south east and Rugby to the north west of the development, and the M1 is around a 16-minute drive away.

Northampton can be accessed within approximately 30 minutes via the A43, while Milton Keynes can be reached by car within 20 minutes via the A5.Oxford is just under an hour’s drive away and can be easily accessed via the A43 and M40.

 

For international travel, London Luton Airport is less than an hour’s drive away from home, via the A5 and M1.

For further retail and leisure opportunities, Northampton boasts a wide range of retail opportunities, featuring popular high-street chain stores and small, independent boutiques, as well as a popular market and three main shopping centres.  Nearby Milton Keynes offers several large shopping destinations and a large, multiplex cinema.

Whittlebury Park Golf course boasts a 36-hole golf course set in historic woods and parkland, and is only eight minutes’ drive from home.

Residents of Farriers Court can benefit from access to Towcester Centre for Leisure, which can be accessed within around three minutes by car. The centre includes a modern gym and fitness suite, several weekly fitness classes, a swimming pool, sports hall, crèche and café.

Towcester is a historic market town with a rich history in the Norman, Roman and Medieval periods, as well as boasting a strong tradition in brewing and motor racing. Towcester town centre is dominated by Saint Lawrence's Church, dating back to the 10th and 12th centuries, with the church tower being added during a restoration in the 1400s and containing artefacts from this time.

Towcester Mill Brewery and Towcester Museum are both popular local attractions, which can be accessed within a five-minute drive from Farriers Court. Set in the courtyard of a former Georgian coaching inn, Towcester Museum offers a centre for tourism and historical information for the district of Towcester and includes popular exhibitions, a tourist information centre and a museum shop.

Less than a 10-minute drive away is Stoke Bruerne, Britain’s canal museum, which is set inside an historic stone mill. Stowe House is a popular National Trust property, this Grade I country house boasts beautiful landscaped gardens, and is just under a 20-minute drive away from home.

 

Towcester also hosts a number of outdoor community events, including the annual May Day Fayre, Midsummer Music Festival, Christmas Market and outdoor carol concert.
