The area surrounding Jellicoe Gardens is well-known for its picturesque scenery, with acres of stunning countryside and coastal landscapes to be enjoyed. Just beyond the northern boundary of the development is the Ditton Lane Nature Reserve, which provides access to the Wirral Circular Trail, a popular walking and cycling route.

A short 10-minute walk from the development is the North Wirral Coastal Park, which follows the route of the coastline between Dove Point at Meols, and the Kings Parade at New Brighton. Presenting four miles of public open space and over 200 acres of land, this impressive park features coastal viewpoints, picnic areas, wildflower meadows and the historic Leasowe Lighthouse.

Everyday fitness is covered by Leasowe Leisure Centre (1 mile), which provides a gym, swimming pool and squash courts, or alternatively, West Kirby Concourse Leisure Centre offers similar facilities a little further afield. There are three golf clubs in the area, as well as a separate driving range and practice facility just a short walk from Jellicoe Gardens, while New Brighton Rugby Club is also located nearby.

Good shopping opportunities can be found at nearby Moreton town centre, approximately half a mile from Jellicoe Gardens. Here, residents will find a selection of high street shops, supermarkets, food outlets and general amenities.

Upton Retail Park is just two miles away, and presents a handful of brand-name stores, including a large supermarket, variety store and homeware shop, while Junction One Retail Park in Bidston Moss (3 miles) is also nearby, offering a wider range of shops.

Around 8 miles from the development, Liverpool city centre boasts countless retail options, with everything from designer outlets at the the fashionable Cavern Walks, through to bohemian street markets nestled in the city’s well-known Bold Street.

The nearest bus stop is situated directly outside of the development on Pasture Road, providing regular direct services to Moreton Centre and Birkenhead, as well as to the employment areas of Eastham and Queensferry. Indirect links to Liverpool city centre and Arrowe Park Hospital are also available by bus.   

Ideally suited for both growing and mature families, Jellicoe Gardens enjoys close proximity to a number of highly-regarded schools, covering all levels of education.

There are a range of popular primary schools within one mile of the development, including Lingham primary school (0.6 miles), Sacred Heart Catholic primary school (0.7 miles), and Christ Church primary school (0.7).

Older students are catered for by several exceptionally well-rated secondary schools, including Clare Mount Specialist Sports College, Upton Hall School FCJ (girls), The Mosslands School (boys) and Weatherhead High School (girls) – all within 3.5 miles. As well as Hilbre High School, St Anselm’s Catholic Grammar School (boys), Calday Grange Grammar School (boys) and

West Kirby Grammar School (girls) within five miles of the development.  

Those pursuing further study will find good transport links to a handful of award-winning of universities, including the notable University of Liverpool, which can be reached within 20 minutes via the M53/Kingsway Tunnel.
