For a day out with a difference, the well-known Newark Showground plays host to antique and collectors fairs throughout the year, along with an annual country show, while an impressive farmers’ market is held on the second Saturday of the month, at the heart of Grantham town centre.

Pavement cafés are plentiful in Grantham and provide an ideal setting to relax after exploring the historic market. Transport and education

Travel by train is covered by Grantham Station, less than two miles from home, which runs on the East Coast Main Line. From here, residents can access direct services to London Kings Cross in as little as 75 minutes, Newark in 10 minutes, Peterborough in 20 minutes and Nottingham in just 30 minutes.

East Midlands is the closest international airport and can be reached in around 50 minutes by car.
