The town of Market Weighton, East Riding, is situated on the edge of the East Yorkshire Wolds. From junction 38 of the M62, Applegarth is about 15 minutes’ drive away.

Boasting Europe’s largest collection of Water Lillies in a natural setting, Burnby Hall Gardens is only a 12-minute drive away and features picturesque lakes and gardens.

Historic York offers a wealth of cultural and entertainment facilities, including museums, theatres, an opera house, a multiplex cinema and York Racecourse.

The east coast is within easy reach of Applegarth, with local train services running to seaside towns such as Scarborough and Bridlington, both of which are less than an hour’s drive away.

Education

For families with young children, there are several highly-regarded primary schools within the area, including Market Weighton Infant School and Mount Pleasant CE Junior School, both located within four minutes’ drive from Applegarth.

Applegarth is only a one-and-a-half-mile drive away from the A614, offering quick access to the M62, which travels across the Pennines and links east Yorkshire to west Yorkshire. This major road offers ease of access to Bradford and Leeds, before moving onto Manchester and Liverpool.

The nearest rail station is located around 11 miles away, in Beverley, and offers regular services to destinations including Scarborough, Sheffield, Doncaster, Hull and York.
