Perfectly located for an array of entertainment, Silk Green will be a short two-minute drive away from the picturesque Rothwell Gullet Nature Reserve. The Park spans 2 hectares, with a selection of beautiful walking routes available. For a bustling fitness scene, Desborough Leisure Centre will be just over a mile away.  

A 10-minute drive will take residents to Market Harborough, an area well-equipped for sporting activities. Market Harborough Golf Club is a popular destination for leisure, with the club also boasting a restaurant overlooking the course. Other well-loved sporting options include the town’s football club and archery club. Majestic garden scenery can be found in the historical Boughton House and Park, which will be around 10 miles away. For time spent in nature, Stanwick Lakes will be just under half an hour’s drive away from Silk Green, with it featuring an adventure playground, an assault course, and fishing facilities, among other attractions.  

The development will be well-situated for easy access to several cities, with Cambridge, Coventry, and Birmingham all under an hour away when driving.

For older pupils, both Bishop Stopford School and the independent Brooke House College will be 15 minutes’ drive away.

The University of Birmingham will be just over an hour’s drive away, while the popular University of Leicester will take just under 40 minutes by car. 

Residents will benefit from a superb transport network, with Market Harborough railway station located just a 10-minute drive away from the proposed site, and Kettering railway station around six miles away. Both stations have links to London, Nottingham, and Leicester.  

For those who drive, the A14 will be 11 minutes’ drive away, while the A6 will be just a six-minute drive away.  

There will be a bus stop just three minutes’ walk away from Silk Green, with destinations including Market Harborough, Corby, Kettering, and Desborough. 

In the neighbouring town of Market Harborough is a rich selection of eateries, including Thai, Italian, and traditional pub cuisine, all of which will be a short 12-minute drive away from the proposed homes.  

Just six miles away and home to an abundant shopping scene, Kettering benefits from independent stores, popular high street favourites, and supermarkets catering for everyday essentials. Well-loved shopping centres include Kettering Retail Park and Newlands Shopping Centre, both of which will be around a 15-minute drive away.   

For a large selection of mainstream stores, residents will be just over half an hour’s drive away from Northampton. Fresh, local produce and independent sellers can be found at the local markets, situated in the historic Market Square. The area’s largest shopping area, The Grosvenor Shopping Centre, benefits from over 60 stores and will be 16 miles away.
