Both are on the Yellow Line that runs along the coast, through Whitley Bay, Tynemouth and North Shields, as well as through Newcastle city centre, Gateshead and Jarrow to South Shields. National rail services operate through Newcastle Central Station to Edinburgh, Durham, York, Doncaster, Peterborough and London Kings Cross, on the East Coast Main Line. In addition, frequent bus services connect Killingworth with surrounding towns and villages. Newcastle Airport is eight miles from the development, via the A1 and the A696.
