Macclesfield has an array of leisure activities to choose from. Just a 4-minute drive away is the Macclesfield Cinemac, which showcases a variety of blockbusters, independent movies, and live events throughout the year.

Also within an 8-minute drive of the development is the Moss Rose Stadium, the home ground of Macclesfield Town Football Club, where League Two games are held during the season.

For lovers of the outdoors, roughly a 15-minute drive along the A537 will lead you to the western edge of the Peak District and Macclesfield Forest. This forest is a protected nature reserve and is taken care of by the Cheshire Wildlife Trust. It is home to a heronry, and a small herd of red deer also call the forest home - the area is popular for walking, horse riding, cycling, and bird watching.

Shopping and dining

King’s Quarter is situated near to a host of specialist and everyday shopping amenities, including the Treacle Market. With over 160 stalls offering crafts, locally produced food, drinks, vintage items, and handmade gifts, this bustling monthly market, in Macclesfield’s cobbled marketplace, is within easy reach of the development – a 10-minute walk or a 7-minute drive.

For everyday essentials, there is a large supermarket situated a few minutes away by car, as well as an array of high-street shops and other amenities along Mill Street and in its local vicinity.

Transport

For commuters, Macclesfield Train Station is approximately a 15-minute walk or a 5-minute drive from the development. The station provides access to several major cities, including Manchester, which takes about 35 minutes, and Birmingham, which takes just over an hour. In addition, for travellers going further afield, there are also direct trains from the station that will arrive in London Euston in less than 2 hours.

King’s Quarter is well-connected to major roads via the A34 and the A523, and provides access to a number of locations of interest. Central Manchester is around 50 minutes’ drive from the development, and Manchester Airport is roughly a 12-mile journey by car.

Education

There are a number of highly regarded schools within a 20-minute walk of the development, including The King’s School, Bollinbrook CE Primary School, and Tytherington School. The King’s School welcomes students from the ages of 3 to 18, as the institute offers both pre-school and sixth form facilities. The King’s School is a 5-minute walk from King’s Quarter, with Bollinbrook Primary School an 8-minute walk and Tytherington School around 5 minutes away by car.
