Enjoying an enviable location, surrounded by rolling Cheshire countryside and close to the Peak District, Weaver Green is within easy reach of areas of outstanding natural beauty. Outdoor enthusiasts will delight in the development's close proximity to renowned cycle paths, walking routes and open water with Redesmere's beautiful 25-acre lake less than 10 minutes away. Steeped in folklore, the Edge at Alderley Edge is a beauty spot and part of a National Trust woodland walk which never fails to impress with its dramatic landscape, natural beauty and spectacular views over the Cheshire plain towards Manchester city centre in one direction and the Peak District in another. Slightly further afield, there are also the famous country estates of Chatsworth, Gawsworth and Capesthorne, with their year-round programmes of events, open-air theatre and festivals.  

From National Trust sites and open green space to evening entertainment, the beautiful market town of Macclesfield is ideally situated for a variety of leisure activities. Outdoor pursuits can be enjoyed aplenty within the idyllic Macclesfield Forest, while in the heart of the town, only around two-and-a-half miles away from the development, there’s the quirky Silk Museum - dedicated to the town's industrial heritage - as well as The Old Sunday School Heritage Centre, and the MADS Theatre, for cultural pursuits. 

The wider area as a whole, which is on the edge of the Peak District, has a wonderful range of parks, including Tegg’s Nose Country Park, Danes Moss Nature Reserve, and Alderley Edge National Trust site, each of which is less than a 15-minute drive away.

Whether it’s to pick up everyday items or for retail therapy, there are a variety of shopping options on offer for those living at Weaver Green. Supermarkets are in abundance around the development, with choices as close as a five-minute drive away.

Within the village of Henbury, there is a garden centre, offering a wide range of goods, from gifts to flowers and furniture, plus a coffee shop and its own tea room. There are also two local village pubs, serving traditional pub grub and a selection of drinks. 

Only a short drive from the development, London Road in Alderley Edge is home to a range of independent boutiques, as well as coffee shops, bars and high-end restaurants, and is popular among affluent families and celebrities. 

In the popular market town of Macclesfield, there are a number of shopping centres, including Thornton Square Shopping Centre, the Grosvenor Shopping Centre, and Lyme Green Retail and Business Park – all of which can be reached in less than a 10-minute car journey from Weavers Green. Macclesfield is also home to The Picturedome, a boutique food hall, set within a beautiful period building, as well as the Treacle Market, a popular monthly artisan market with more than 150 stalls offering food and drink, vintage and rare finds, plus unique crafts and gifts. 

Residents looking to commute to nearby towns and cities for work will be pleased with how well-connected Weaver Green is for commuting. The development can reached within 20 minutes’ drive of junction 18 of the M6, via the A537. Macclesfield town centre is less than a 10-minute drive, and it is also close to Alderley Edge, Prestbury and Wilmslow, while Manchester city centre is only a little over 20 miles away.  

Alternatively, Macclesfield train station is roughly eight minutes away by car, and offers regular services into Manchester Piccadilly which only takes around 20 minutes. It also offers regular services to London Euston and beyond. 

Travel across the country and abroad is also quick and easy, with Manchester Airport – which offers both domestic and international flights – only just over 12 miles away from Weaver Green.

Families with children will find Weaver Green an attractive prospect due to the number of highly regarded schools in the local area, including Whirley Primary School, St Alban’s Catholic Primary School, and Ivy Bank Primary School – which are all less than five minutes’ drive away from the development.

The development is also within easy reach of some of Cheshire's most highly-rated independent schools, for girls and boys, including The Ryleys (Alderley Edge), the King's School (Macclesfield) and Terra Nova (Holmes Chapel). 

College education is also available in the vicinity of Weaver Green, with All Hallows Catholic College around two miles away and Macclesfield College just over five minutes’ drive away.

For university education, Staffordshire University, the University of Salford, and Manchester Metropolitan University are all within a 40-minute drive of the development.
