Lysander Fields is located in Kings Hill, just two miles from West Malling, 10 miles from Maidstone, 15 miles from Royal Tunbridge Wells and 34 miles from central London. The nearest train station is at West Malling for London Victoria (55 minutes), and Ashford International (around 40 minutes).
The development is situated within the boundaries of Kings Hill Parish Council, Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council and Kent County Council.
Residents will find a number of well-regarded schools nearby. For younger children these include Kings Hill School, Valley Invicta Primary School at Kings Hill and The Discovery School. Older pupils are catered for by Aylesford School, Hadlow Rural Community School and The Maplesden Noakes School in Maidstone, among others.
There are two supermarkets just a short walk from the development in Liberty Square, and a larger selection of shops in West Malling, less than three miles away.
Further afield, popular shopping destinations include Royal Tunbridge Wells (30 minutes’ drive away) and Maidstone (20 minutes’ drive away). Both offer a wide selection of high-street names, boutiques, independent and specialist stores.
Bluewater at Greenhithe, which boasts around 300 shops, as well as restaurants, cafés and a multi-screen cinema, can be reached in around 35 minutes by car.
Kings Hill has been designed with an abundance of green space for residents to enjoy, as well as cycle and walking routes throughout, echoing the surrounding Kent countryside.
Kings Hill Sport Park is 15 minutes’ walk from the development; it has several grass football pitches, an artificial pitch and a sports pavilion. The community also has a cricket ground, a golf course, tennis courts and nature parks.
Leybourne Lakes Country Park, around four miles away, has several children’s play areas, cycle routes and walking trails. Leybourne Lakes Water Sports Centre, within the park, offers training in kayaking, open-water swimming and paddle boarding.
Major roads in convenient reach of Lysander Fields include the A26, M2, the M20 and the M25.
The nearest railway station to the development is West Malling, five minutes’ drive away. From there trains run to London Victoria and Ashford International (for high-speed services to London and Eurostar services to Paris, Lille and Brussels). Snodland train station is around 10 minutes’ drive from the development for trains to Strood, which connect with high-speed services to London St Pancras.
For domestic and international flights, Gatwick Airport is 40 minutes away by car via the M25.
