Bursledon is a traditional village with tree-lined country lanes and impressive historic houses, all nestled within an idyllic waterside setting. The village borders the popular Manor Farm, part of the River Hamble Country Park which covers more than 400 acres of woodland and grassland on the bank of the River Hamble. The site contains a working farm tracing over 100 years of agricultural history, along with a ‘meet the animals’ experience and a vast ancient woodland to be explored.

There are a range of good local amenities in the vicinity of Latitude and several heritage attractions to admire, including Bursledon Windmill and Bursledon Brickwork Museum. A pleasing selection of dining venues can also be found nearby, from inn-keeper style pubs to elegant restaurants. The Jolly Sailor is cheerful riverside pub situated in a peaceful boat harbour with beautiful views, at just over two miles from the development. More formal occasions are catered for by venues such as The Hampshires at The Botleigh Grange Hotel which specialises in fine, seasonal British cuisine and boasts a glass domed ceiling overlooking the landscaped gardens.


Latitude is ideally located for growing and mature families with a range of schools nearby covering infant through to higher education. Children under 11 will benefit from close proximity to Kings Copse Primary School, at a short four minute drive from home. Freegrounds Junior School and Bursledon Church of England Junior School are located within two miles of the development and provide provisions for both infants and primary-aged children.

Older students are catered for by the well-regarded Hambleton Community Sports College at just a seven minute drive from Latitude, while Itchen College is rated the most successful sports college in Hampshire and offers a diversity of courses from sixth form through to adult learning.


Commuters will benefits from the area’s excellent transport connections, with the M27 less than half a mile away, which then leads onto the M3 and the A3(M). Portsmouth can be reached in approximately 17 minutes via the M27, while Southampton is under 20 minutes away via Portsmouth Road and the A3025.

Bursledon has its own train station located under two miles from Latitude, with regular services to Southampton Central and Portsmouth and Southsea, passing several popular destinations on route.
