Portside View is a proposed development situated a seven-minute walk away from Gosport and Stokes Bay Golf Club, with the course boasting panoramic views of the Solent and the Isle of Wight. For peaceful moments in nature, Gosport Angling Club and Alverstoke Creek are both around a mile away from the planned site. Gosport Library is just a 4-minute drive away, with the popular attraction hosting art exhibitions, events, and activities. Fans of football benefit from Gosport Borough Football Club being two miles away from the planned homes, with the club regularly hosting semi-professional matches.  

A little further out, Alver Valley Country Park and Wildgrounds Nature Reserve – which boasts over 67 acres to explore - are both around 10 minutes’ drive away. Planet Ice Gosport, a well-loved ice skating rink, is a 13-minute drive away from the proposed homes, with it offering skating sessions, disco events, and lessons.  

City attractions are easily reached, with both Southampton and Portsmouth city centres around 30 minutes away when driving. On the outskirts of Portsmouth city centre, just half an hour away from the site, is the Mountbatten leisure centre, boasting a gym, pool, and fitness classes. 

Residents with children benefit from the proposed site being close to several well-regarded schools. Children of primary school age have the options of Hazelworth Primary School, Alverstoke Community Infant School, and St Jude’s CofE Primary School, all around a five-minute drive away. For students of secondary school age, Bay House Secondary School is two-and-a-half miles away, and those interested in further education benefit from the planned homes being just a six-minute drive away from St Vincent College.  

Portside View has easy access to several popular universities, including the University of Portsmouth just 30 minutes’ drive away. A little further out, The University of Southampton, Southampton Solent University, City College Southampton, and University of Winchester all take around 50 minutes when driving.  

Residents looking to travel via public transport benefit from a well-served bus stop just a one-minute walk away, with journeys to Fareham, as well as Gosport Bus Station just one mile away from the proposed site. 

The planned development has fantastic links for those who drive, with journeys to both the M27 and A3 taking around half an hour.  

For rail travel, Fareham train station is around seven miles away, with direct links to London, Reading, Brighton, and Southampton.  

Solent Airport is just a short five-minute drive away, with destinations throughout the UK. For international flights, Southampton Airport is just over 30 minutes’ drive away from the homes. 

The area boasts a host of retail options, with Gosport town centre featuring a plethora of independent businesses and high street favourites. For a wider selection of shopping, Gunwharf Quays Designer Outlet and Cascades Shopping Centre are both just over half an hour's drive, or a short five-minute ferry crossing, away from the planned site. Eight miles away from the proposed development, Fareham town has a varied selection of stores, including a market selling fresh, local produce.  

For dining, Portsmouth and Gosport have several options, including Thai, traditional, Malaysian, and Italian.
