Within 15 minutes’ drive of Greensands is a Didcot-based cinema, where moviegoers are able to take in the latest films.

A little over 10 miles from the development is Hawkwalk, a falconry centre based in the Oxfordshire countryside. Visitors can get up close to the owls, hawks, and other birds during hunting experiences, daytime events, and half-day visits.

Around 25 minutes’ drive away from Greensands is The Living Rainforest, which is a charity-run centre that houses more than 750 species of animals and plants, including iguana, pythons, armadillo, and marmosets.

Shopping and dining

Just over a mile away from Greensands are multiple supermarkets, where residents of the development will be able to purchase everyday items. Further afield, around 20 minutes’ drive from Greensands, is Bury Street Shopping Centre, which has a vast range of high-street stores, eateries, cafes, and more.

In the centre of Wantage, which is around a mile and a half away from the development, there are a number of well-regarded restaurants and eateries, including Chinese, Thai, and Indian options.

Transport

For those looking to commute to work, Didcot Parkway Station is little under eight miles away from Greensands. Trains are available to Oxford every 30 minutes, Reading every 20 minutes, and London Paddington Station every 30 minutes.

There are also plenty of road travel options, too, with Swindon, a 40-minute drive, Reading, around 30 miles away, and Oxford, around 25 minutes’ drive, all within commuting distance.

Education

Families with younger children will be pleased by the variety of schools on offer around Greensands. Less than a mile away from the development is Charlton Primary School, just a four-minute drive away is Wantage CE Primary School, and just over two miles away is Stockham Primary School.

For older students, just a 20-minute walk leads to Icknield Secondary School.
