Yateley lies to the south of Wokingham, and northwest of Farnborough. From junction 4 of the M3, Forest Chase is a about a 10-minute drive away.
The Yateley Lakes, around a mile from Forest Chase, offer tranquillity and a variety of leisure opportunities; there are dedicated lakes for fishing, jet skiing and boating, and paved routes for walking and running. An array of outdoor pursuits can be enjoyed at Horseshoe Lake Activity Centre, including stand-up paddleboard yoga, open-water swimming, kayaking and sailing.
Less than a mile from the development, Yateleys Health and Fitness incorporates a gym with a varied timetable of classes, and a swimming pool. For keen golfers, Blackwater Valley Golf Centre is around 5 minutes’ drive from Forest Chase, while the East Berkshire Golf Club is in Crowthorne, 10 minutes away by car. Also in the area are Yateley Cricket Club and Yateley United FC, both of which have active teams.
A supermarket is situated a less than a mile from the development, and a selection of local shops, as well as restaurants and traditional pubs, can be found in Yateley’s town centre. Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar and Grill, with a menu designed by the acclaimed chef, is a five-minute car journey from Forest Chase.
Further afield, the retail hubs of Camberley and Farnborough, both around a 20-minute drive away, offer high-street shopping and independent boutiques, in addition to a wider choice of eateries to satisfy most tastes. For a fine dining experience, the Michelin-starred L’Ortolan is located south of Reading, 20 minutes by car from these new homes in Yateley.
For families with younger children, a number of well-regarded primary schools can be found in the local area; these include Potley Hill, Newlands, Cranford Park CE, and Westfields Infant and Junior Schools, all located approximately within five minutes’ drive of Forest Chase. For car travel around the region, the M3 for Basingstoke, Farnborough, Woking and the M25 is 10 minutes from Forest Chase, while the M4 for Reading, Heathrow Airport and London can be reached in 20 minutes. Wokingham lies approximately seven miles north.
Bus stops for local services are a few minutes’ walk from the development. The nearest railway station is Sandhurst, two miles away. From this station, a direct train to Reading takes about 20 minutes. Farnborough railway station is a 20-minute car journey from Yateley, and provides direct services to London Waterloo, taking as few as 34 minutes. Heathrow Airport is around 30 minutes’ drive away.
