Located just over four miles north east of Swindon, Vicarage Gardens is ideally situated for a number of leisure and entertainment options. There is an IMAX multiscreen theatre just under three miles away from the development.

For those fond of the outdoors, roughly four miles from the development is the Wrag Barn Golf Club, an 18-hole golf course that offers panoramic views of the local countryside.

Just over eight miles from the development is Lydiard Park, a historic estate on the western outskirts of Swindon that houses Lydiard House, cafes and tea rooms, a children’s play area, and over 260 acres of parkland. Lydiard Park hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including live music, an open-air theatre, and much more.

Shopping and dining

The Designer Outlet in Swindon, which is a shopping centre filled with high-quality stores and highly regarded restaurants, is a popular retail location in the area. Plus, five miles away from the development is The Brunel Shopping Centre, which offers everything from high-end stores to independent boutiques. 

For more everyday items, there is a large supermarket located around a 5 minutes’ drive from Vicarage Gardens.

There are a number of primary schools in the areas surrounding Vicarage Gardens, including South Marston CE Primary School, which is around a minutes' walk from the development. 

For older students, there are a variety of secondary schools and colleges in the area, including St Joseph’s Catholic College, which is around three miles away from Vicarage Gardens.


Vicarage Gardens is located just under five miles from Swindon Train Station, which offers direct trains to Bristol, around a 40-minute journey, Bath, which is approximately a half-hour trip, and Reading, which takes about 30 minutes. Furthermore, there are also direct trains available to transport commuters through to London Paddington in under an hour.

As well as train options, Vicarage Gardens is also ideally located for road travel. A 10-minute drive, via the A419, will lead to the M4. This provides commuters with the option of travelling to Bristol in under an hour. In addition, Oxford is only around a 25-mile drive from the development.
