Located less than six miles from the centre of Bristol, The Bridles is ideally situated to benefit from the many amenities offered by a large city, including a wealth of restaurants, cafés and bars, museums, theatres and art galleries.

Bristol is also rich in parks, gardens and waterfront attractions, all offering opportunities for sport and leisure.

Shopping and dining

Several convenience stores and small supermarkets can be found within a mile of The Bridles, while larger supermarkets can be reached in around 10 minutes by car.

Bristol itself is a retail paradise, with a plethora of high-street brands, boutiques and specialist stores spread throughout its commercial heart. Cabot Circus and The Galleries shopping centres, Broadmead and the historic St James Arcade boast more than 500 shops between them, attracting visitors from across the south west.

Out of town, retail parks include Imperial Shopping Park and Cribbs Causeway, which incorporates The Mall shopping centre, a bowling alley, restaurants and a multiplex cinema.

Education

Families will find a number of well-regarded schools near The Bridles, including Bridge Farm Primary School and Waycroft Academy. Older children are catered for by St Bernadette Catholic Secondary School and Oasis Academy, while post-16 education providers include City of Bristol College and South Gloucestershire and Stroud College.

The University of Bristol and the University of the West of England are also located in the city – seven miles and 10 miles away respectively.

Transport

The A37 is just short drive from The Bridles, providing easy access to the city centre in approximately 20 minutes for commuters and shoppers. The A4, for Bath and West London, is less than 10 minutes’ drive away, while the M4 is a 20-minute car journey.

The nearest train station to the development is at Keynsham and from there regular services run to Bristol Temple Meads, Bristol Parkway, Bath, Weymouth, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Worcester and Portsmouth.
