The market town of Devizes is located in central Wiltshire. Quakers Walk lies about a mile to the northeast of the town centre, just off the A361.

Devizes is a bustling market town with more than 500 listed buildings within its boundaries, and the area has a wide-ranging selection of leisure and entertainment options. Just over a mile away from Quakers Walk is the independent, single-screened Palace Cinema, which showcases an array of foreign, independent, and blockbuster movies that change every few days.

For those looking for more dynamic activities, less than a 10-minute walk from the development is the Devizes Sports Club, which brings together the cricket, tennis, and rugby clubs of the area. It has a variety of men’s and women’s teams that anyone is able to join.

Alternatively, Drews Pond Woods, located just under two miles away from Quakers Walk, is a woodland nature park that’s ideal for bird watching, cycling, and walking, and covers 65 acres of land. Going further afield, Stonehenge, the centrepiece of Britain’s most famous World Heritage site, is only a 30-minute drive away.

Shopping and dining

A little over a mile away is the Devizes market place, home of the largest weekly market in the West Country, held every Thursday, and there are also a variety of independent shops and stores to browse. For more everyday items, the nearest supermarket to the development is around four minutes’ drive away.

Alongside the varied shopping options, there are also a number of restaurants in the vicinity of Quakers Walk. Just a one-mile journey provides options including Mexican, Indian, and Chinese cuisines. In addition, the town of Chippenham, around 30 minutes’ drive, has a number of other bistros, eateries, and restaurants to choose from.


There are a number of schools in the vicinity of Quakers Walk, including The Trinity CE Primary Academy, which is around a minutes’ walk away, and Nursteed Community Primary School, just under a five-minute drive away.

For more senior students, Devizes School and Sixth Form College is based about half a mile from the development and the University of Bath is under 20 miles away.


These homes are well-suited for commuters, with Bath a little over 20 miles away from the development via car. In addition, it takes roughly a 35-minute car journey to travel to Swindon.

Devizes is also well-situated for those travelling to London, as trains regularly leave Swindon Train Station, an approximately half-hour drive, and arrive at London’s Paddington Station within an hour.
