Corsham lies around four miles southwest of Chippenham. Pickwick Court is situated just off the A4 Bath Road, and about 15 minutes’ drive from the M4, junction 17.

Shopping and dining

The centre of Corsham lies less than a mile away from Pickwick Court. This historic market town features a number of listed buildings – including Corsham Court country house and park – with many of its buildings constructed from local Bath stone. A weekly market takes place in High Street, which is also home to a variety of independent shops and boutiques, cafés, bars and restaurants.

Further afield, Chippenham lies approximately four miles to the northeast and has two shopping centres – Borough Parade and Emery Gate – as well as a twice-weekly market and fortnightly farmers’ market. Bath, nine miles to the west, has six significant shopping districts, all offering a wealth of retail therapy.

Sports and leisure

The undulating countryside of the Cotswolds lends itself to a variety of outdoor activities, including horse riding, walking and cycling. The Cotswold Water Park – more than 150 lakes covering 40 square miles – provides a range of water sports, while Cotswold Country Park features the largest inland bathing beach in the country.

Corsham itself is home to football, cricket and rugby clubs, and the Springfield Community Campus, half a mile from the development, has a range of facilities. These include a swimming pool, gym, exercise studio, climbing wall, sports hall and football pitches. The adjacent Springfield Recreation Ground is home to a play park, which has separate sections for younger children and teenagers, a BMX track and a skate park.

Live music, theatre and dance performances are staged at The Pound arts centre in town, as well as film screenings, workshops and exhibitions. The nearest multiplex cinema is at Bath, a 20-minute drive away.


For families at Pickwick Court, several well-regarded schools can be found within the local area, including Corsham Primary School and St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School for younger children and The Corsham School for older pupils.


Major roads easily accessible from Pickwick Court include the A4, for Bath, Bristol and Chippenham, and the M4 for South Wales, Swindon, Heathrow Airport and London (eight miles to junction 17).

The nearest train station is at Chippenham, around five miles away, and from there frequent services run to Bath, Bristol, Swindon, Reading and London Paddington. Trains to Cardiff, Southampton, Portsmouth, Gloucester and Weymouth run through Bath Spa station, nine miles away.

For domestic and international flights, Bristol Airport is less than an hour away via the M4 and the M32.
