Located in Banwell, North Somerset, Bilbie Grange lies six miles east of Weston-super-Mare, and about 20 miles from Bristol. The development is under 10 minutes from the M5, junction 21.
A number of well-regarded schools are situated in the area surrounding Bilbie Grange. These include Banwell Primary School, approximately five minutes’ walk away; for secondary-age students, Churchill Academy and Sixth Form is less than a 10-minute drive away.
Around three miles from Banwell, the Sidcot School provides independent education for pupils age 3-18.
Further education can be obtained at North Somerset Enterprise and Technology College, which focuses on STEM subjects, and is located approximately three miles from Bilbie Grange. Weston College offers a diverse choice of courses up to university level, and has three main campuses, the nearest of which to the development is the South West Skills Campus, under 10 minutes away by car.
A picturesque village in the Chew Valley, near to the west border of the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Banwell offers residents abundant opportunities for leisure and adventure sporting pursuits nearby. Keen walkers can join the West Mendip Way route, which stretches for 30 miles and incorporates the Mendip escarpment and Cheddar Gorge; other activities on offer in this area of the Mendips include horse trekking, caving, climbing, and dry slope skiing and snowboarding.
The traditional coastal resort of Weston-super-Mare, around a 15-minute drive away from Bilbie Grange, boasts a large, sandy beach - popular with windsurfers - and a range of family attractions such as the Grand Pier, which has an indoor theme park with rides, arcade machines and a number of casual eateries.
Two cinemas and theatres can be found in the town centre; for golfers, a challenging course is situated at the coast, with impressive views over the Bristol Channel. Weston-super-Mare also offers a variety of restaurants, with options ranging from cafes and fish bars, to French, Italian and Greek cuisine.
In Banwell, a supermarket, and a selection of local village shops are situated a short walk away from Bilbie Grange. North Worle Shopping Centre has a number of large stores and is about ten minutes away by car.
Further afield, Weston-super-Mare’s town centre offers a broader retail choice, with many familiar brands located along High Street and within Sovereign Shopping Centre. A collection of local and specialist traders can be found in the Grove Village and Orchard Meadows commercial districts.
For destination shopping, hundreds of high street and upmarket stores are set within Bristol’s Shopping Quarter, which incorporates two malls, The Galleries and Cabot Circus. Just outside the city centre is Clifton Village; this suburb of Bristol is renowned for its eclectic mixture of independent designer fashion and vintage boutiques, and antiques and art dealers, several of which are housed within its restored Victorian arcade.
Junction 21 of the M5 for Bristol and Bath is situated approximately three miles from these new homes in Banwell; the journey time to Bath is about an hour.
The nearest railway station to the development is Worle, 10 minutes’ drive away, which operates direct services to Weston-super-Mare, Cardiff Central and Bristol Parkway. From Weston-super-Mare, a direct train journey to London Paddington station takes around two hours and 15 minutes.
For air travel, Bristol International Airport is approximately 25 minutes from Banwell by car.
