St Nicholas Manor is located a few minutes’ walk from Cramlington train station, seven miles from Morpeth and 10 miles from Newcastle. The A1 and A19 are around three miles from the development.

Shopping locally is focused around Manor Walks and the adjacent retail park, with a good selection of high-street and independent stores, niche retailers and food shops, as well as a multi-screen cinema and leisure centre. Slightly further afield Silverlink Shopping Park offers a range of chain stores, restaurants and cafés, while Newcastle city centre, nine miles away, and the Metrocentre in Gateshead, attract shoppers from across the region.


Cramlington enjoys an abundance of open space, with several parks locally including Alexandra Park, which has football pitches, tennis courts, a children’s play area and a skatepark, and Seven Oaks Park, which provides a backdrop to public events. Plessey Woods Country Park, Bedlington Country Park and Weetslade Country Park are home to a multitude of wildlife and are all around three miles from the development. Northumberlandia – comprising a 100ft high landscape sculpture within a community park – is a few minutes’ drive away and the Northumberland coast can be reached in around 10 minutes by car.


For families, a number of well-regarded schools can be found in the local area, including Shanklea, Beaconhill and Cramlington Village primary schools for younger children and Cramlington Learning Village for older students. Post-16 education providers include Tyne Metropolitan College in Wallsend and Newcastle College, and universities can be found in Newcastle, Durham and Sunderland.


St Nicholas Manor is situated a few minutes’ walk from Cramlington Railway Station, from where regular trains run to Morpeth, Gateshead Metrocentre and Newcastle. East Coast Main Line services operate from Newcastle to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Durham, York, Peterborough and London Kings Cross, among many other destinations. The A1 for Berwick upon Tweed and Edinburgh to the north, Newcastle, Durham, Darlington and York to the south; the A19 for Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Thirsk and Doncaster, and the A189 for Newcastle, Gateshead and the Northumberland coast, can all be reached in around five minutes by car. Newcastle Airport is 11 miles away via the A1.
