Ponteland village is home to several popular restaurants, pubs and bars, with Indian, Chinese, Italian and British food on the menu. Specialist fish restaurant, Catch Seafood and fine dining restaurant Branches, are both around 10 minutes’ drive away. Horton Grange Country House Hotel at Berwick Hill offers afternoon tea, and coffee shop Jan’s Kitchen, 10 minutes’ away by car, sells a range of homemade cakes, wraps and sandwiches, including vegetarian options.

Sports enthusiasts will find Westerhope Golf Club almost on their doorstep and the home ground of rugby union team Newcastle Falcons at Kingston Park, less than three miles away. Ponteland Leisure Centre, four miles from the development, and West Denton Leisure Centre, less than two miles away, both offer a variety of facilities, including swimming pools, sports courts, gyms and fitness studios.

Major roads easily accessible from Callerton Rise include the A1 for Morpeth and Edinburgh to the north, Gateshead, Durham and London to the south, and the A69 for Corbridge, Hexham and Carlisle. The nearest Metro station is Bank Foot, which is less than three miles from the development, while Newcastle Central Station is around six miles away, for mainline services to many destinations.
