As a responsible and trusted developer, building safe homes is our biggest priority. For over 75 years, we have been building high quality homes that people are proud to own and call home.
Bellway takes its responsibilities to all stakeholders very seriously, and this includes our obligations for the safety of all residents. Following the Grenfell tragedy in June 2017, we proactively instigated a full review of our high-rise portfolio and identified buildings with ACM cladding. We are now engaged in a complete programme of works to remediate those buildings.
At the time of construction, all Bellway developments met the required building regulation approvals and were sold to customers with the benefit of a 10-year NHBC Buildmark warranty. On those developments where remedial works have been confirmed, Bellway has typically covered the cost of fire safety improvements where we remain responsible, or provided help to the building owners of legacy schemes where we have remaining legal responsibility to do so, to ensure any necessary surveys, tests and required remediation are carried out.
To support leaseholders and residents on developments built by Bellway and where there are concerns with building safety, we have developed a bespoke website, Resident Connect, to provide further details about any planned work and remediation taking place where they live.
