Golfers have the choice of three courses nearby: Westhoughton Golf Club, and Hart Common Golf Club are both around a 5-minute car journey away, and Hindley Hall Golf Club can be accessed by car in less than 15 minutes. Football fans will find the Macron Stadium, home of the Bolton Wanderers FC, 10-minutes’ drive from the development, and Old Trafford less than a 30-minute car journey drive away. An indoor trampoline park is located approximately one mile from The Vistas; a bowling alley and multiplex cinema can be found three miles away at Middlebrook retail park.

Further afield, Bolton city centre is home to several museums, theatres and comedy clubs, and Manchester is well-known for its attractions such as art galleries, museums and historical buildings, in addition to an array of live music venues. Bolton benefits from a variety of high-street names, local retailers and a large indoor market, in addition to an assortment of casual chain and independent eateries.

Sacred Heart RC Primary School is approximately five minutes’ walk from the development, and St Bartholomew’s CE Primary School is around 10 minutes away on foot. The Gates Primary School, and St Thomas Chequerbent CE Primary School are approximately five minutes away by car.

For secondary students, Westhoughton High School is less than 15 minutes’ walk away. Other nearby secondary schools include Ladybridge High School, and Atherton Community School, both around a 15-minute car journey from home. Further education is offered at Bolton College, located within 15 minutes’ drive of The Vistas. For those pursuing higher education, the University of Bolton provides postgraduate and undergraduate courses and is situated in the town centre, 30 minutes away. Transport

For travel into Manchester and Salford, the A6, which links to the M61, is half a mile from The Vistas. The A58 for Bolton and Wigan is around five minutes away by car.

There are two railway stations within easy reach of the development. Westhoughton railway station can be reached in approximately five minutes on foot, and a second railway station, Daisy Hill, is about a mile away. Both offer direct connections to destinations such as Manchester Victoria, Manchester Airport, Wigan Wallgate and Leeds.

Bus stops for local and regional services are on Church Street, a five-minute walk from the development.

For air travel, Manchester Airport is around a 30-minute car journey from Westhoughton, and less than an hour by direct train from Westhoughton station.
