The Kings Hill community is the ideal location for leisure, with golf, cricket, tennis, and football clubs on-site, as well as a comprehensive leisure centre complete with a state-of-the-art gym, a spa, sports facilities, and several swimming pools. The surrounding Kent countryside also offers ample opportunity for exercise and fresh air, with Manor Park Country Park home to wildlife and a lake within beautiful former estate grounds – just 18 minutes’ walk away.

Tonbridge and Maidstone – both nine miles away – are stunning historic towns with a wealth of leisure, history, and entertainment for residents of Westland Place to explore. Maidstone’s Mote Park hosts a variety of outdoor leisure facilities – including a BMX track, dog park, and public gardens – as well as an 18th-century lakeside boathouse. Tonbridge boasts a Norman castle, plus a collection of attractive public parks. Both towns have cinemas, leisure centres, museums, and theatres for a range of entertainment.

Both the Valley Invicta Primary School at Kings Hill and Kings Hill School are a little over half a mile away, while The Discovery School is a six-minute drive away and is situated on-site. 

For those of secondary school age, Hadlow Rural Community School is a 10-minute drive down the A26, while The Maplesden Noakes School and St Augustine Academy are under nine miles away, in Maidstone – served by public transport routes.

Medway – a 30-minute drive away – is home to a partnership of buildings and facilities on a former naval base shared by the University of Kent, the University of Greenwich, and Canterbury Christ Church University. The University of Kent’s main campus is 35 miles east of the development, while London boasts many of the UK’s finest universities.

Kings Hill bus stop is a three-minute walk from the development and provides regular services to Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, and Maidstone, as well as West Malling train station, which is alternatively a three-minute drive from the development.

West Malling station feeds Southeastern rail routes to Maidstone East, Ashford International, London Charing Cross, and London Victoria, reaching the latter in as little as 51 minutes. Dartford station, which has parking options, is a 28-minute drive away and presents Thameslink services throughout central London, as well as links to key underground platforms.

The development is a minute’s drive from the A228 and three miles from the A20, leading north-west towards London, and south-east to Dover – the Channel Tunnel is a 40-minute drive away.

Gatwick Airport is 35 miles away, proposing travel destinations across the globe.

Kings Hill centre – under a mile walk away – offers an excellent array of local amenities and conveniences, including a choice of well-known supermarkets, independent businesses, a popular local pub, and several restaurants and cafés. West Malling High Street is a three-minute drive away, and features further shopping options, as well as a comprehensive dining selection, with options including Thai, European, and Indian.

Maidstone hosts a widespread retail and restaurant experience, with the city centre – nine miles away – providing an eclectic mix of popular brands, independent vendors, and local market stalls – both in food and fashion. With London being around 40 miles away, residents of Westland Place have access to some of the world’s best known shopping destinations and most revered eateries, as well as a complete variety of global cuisine and a unique nightlife culture.
