Shopping

For day-to-day shopping, Faversham is a few minutes’ drive to the west of Tylman Place. With a bustling retail quarter and a market held three times a week, as well as a good selection of cafés, restaurants and bars, this picturesque market town attracts visitors from throughout the region.

To the east, the ancient cathedral city of Canterbury is a 15-minute drive away and a major tourist attraction. It is home to a variety of well-known chain stores, cafés and restaurants throughout Whitefriars Shopping Centre and the surrounding streets, as well as to a wealth of independent and specialist retailers within the King’s Mile, adjacent to Canterbury Cathedral.

Leisure

The development is close to several sports and leisure facilities, including Faversham Recreation Ground, half a mile away, which is home to the local rugby and tennis clubs, as well as to football pitches, a skate park and children’s playground. Mid Kent College, with campuses in Gillingham and Maidstone, offers a range of academic and vocational courses, while the University of Kent and Canterbury Christ Church University are both based in Canterbury.

Transport

Major roads easily accessible from the development include the A299 for Whitstable, Herne Bay, Margate and Ramsgate, the M2 for Sittingbourne, Chatham and Rochester, and the A2 for Canterbury, Dover, Dartford, Deptford and central London.

The nearest train station is Faversham, less than five minutes’ drive away, and from there frequent services operate to Canterbury, Dover, Margate, Ramsgate, Ebbsfleet International, Stratford International, London St Pancras and London Victoria.
