Buckland Rise is situated six miles from Rochester and seven miles from Maidstone. Major roads easily accessible from the development include the A228 and the M2. The nearest train stations are Snodland and Halling, both around five minutes’ drive away.

The development is situated within the boundaries of Wouldham Parish Council, Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council and Kent County Council.

There are a number of well-regarded schools in the local area, such as Wouldham All Saints Church of England Primary, just five minutes’ walk away, Valley Invicta Primary School at Holborough Lakes and Halling Primary School – both a few minutes’ drive away. For older pupils, schools include The Thomas Aveling School, The Rochester Grammar School (girls) and Sir Joseph Williamson’s Mathematical School (boys).

The nearest supermarket is in Snodland, on the opposite side of the River Medway and less than five minutes away by car via Peters Bridge. Further supermarkets and a wide variety of shops can be found in Chatham, five miles away.

Maidstone lies seven miles to the south of Buckland Rise. There, popular shopping destinations include Fremlin Walk, The Mall, the Royal Star Arcade, Gabriel’s Hill and Bank Street.

Bluewater at Greenhithe – 20 minutes’ drive away – is one of the largest shopping centres in the country, home to almost 300 stores as well as cafés, bars, restaurants and a multiscreen cinema.

Leybourne Lakes Country Park is popular with families. It has several play areas, as well as cycle routes and scenic walks and is five minutes by car from Buckland Rise. Regular family events and activities are also hosted there and the park is home to Leybourne Lakes Water Sports Centre, which offers classes in windsurfing, canoeing and kayaking.

Larkfield Leisure Centre is less than 10minutes’ drive from the development. Facilities there include swimming pools, a gym, exercise and spin studios.

Nearby theatres include the Hazlitt Theatre in Maidstone, and the Central Theatre in Chatham. Multi-screen cinemas can be found in Maidstone, Chatham and Rochester.

Both Halling and Snodland train stations are around two miles from the development and can be reached in five minutes by car. Services run to Maidstone and to Strood for connections to Ebbsfleet International and London St Pancras (journey time around 45 minutes).

Buckland Rise is conveniently located for accessing major roads, including the M2 and the M20. Peters Bridge over the River Medway links Wouldham with the A228 (less than a mile away).

Eurostar trains to Lille, Paris and Brussels, as well as high-speed services to London, run from Ebbsfleet International, 20 minutes’ drive from the development.
