Fusion is a development of new homes in Newhall, three miles from Harlow town centre, around two miles from Harlow Mill Railway Station and three miles from the M11 motorway.
Harlow benefits from many shops local to its various districts and a modern central shopping zone, which includes the Harvey Centre, the Water Gardens and a pedestrianised precinct (the first in the country when built). All boast a selection of high-street brands and independent retailers, not to mention popular food outlets and cafés. Planned expansion of The Harvey Centre will see the addition of a six-screen cinema and a number of restaurants.
Harlow’s long-established market takes place five days a week in the town centre and there is a farmers’ market once a month at St John’s Arts and Recreation Centre in Old Harlow. A massive open-air market – reputedly the largest in England – takes place at nearby North Weald Airfield on Saturdays and bank holidays.
Residents can also enjoy London’s myriad shops, department stores, designer boutiques and markets, which are just over half an hour away from Harlow by train, or stop off at east London’s Westfield Stratford City, one of the largest shopping centres in Europe.

One of the first new towns designed after World War II, Harlow benefits from an abundance of open space, including the 164-acre Town Park, which boasts a number of facilities and features, including an adventure playground, paddling pool, bandstand and sensory gardens.
The town also has several nature reserves where guided walks and events take place regularly, including Parndon Wood, 50 acres of ancient woodland with a conservation centre and observation hides for visitors.
Harlow Leisurezone, seven minutes’ drive from Fusion, offers a range of activities and facilities, including swimming pools, tennis courts, gym, squash courts, sports hall and exercise studios.
For a more relaxed approach to leisure, Harlow Playhouse is one of the region’s leading theatres and stages a variety of drama, comedy and music productions throughout the year. The Gibberd Gallery, at Harlow Civic Centre, showcases a permanent exhibition of British watercolours, and the Gibberd Garden at Marsh Lane is home to a collection of more than 80 sculptures.
Newhall will benefit from a community primary school, which is due to open in September 2018, but currently there are a number of good schools in the local area that cater for children of all ages. These include Church Langley, Henry Moore, Fawbert & Barnard and Tany’s Dell primary schools, all within two miles of Fusion.
Secondary schools include Burnt Mill Academy and Passmores Academy, both six minutes’ drive away, and Mark Hall Academy, three minutes’ drive from the development. The independent St Nicholas School caters for children aged four to 16, while Harlow College in the town centre has a sixth from and offers a programme of A levels, vocational courses and apprenticeships. The college’s University Centre also delivers a number of Anglia Ruskin University undergraduate courses.
Road links with the surrounding area are excellent. The M11 motorway, giving access to east London in the South and Stansted Airport, Cambridge and the A1 in the north, is just seven minutes’ drive away; the A414, linking Harlow with Hertford and Hemel Hempstead in the west and Chelmsford and Maldon in the east, is just three minutes’ drive from these new homes in Harlow.
Harlow Mill Railway Station in four minutes’ drive from Fusion and Harlow Town Railway Station eight minutes’ drive away. Both enjoy frequent services into London Liverpool Street (around 35 minutes), Bishop’s Stortford (around 15 minutes), Stansted Airport (around 20 minutes) and Cambridge (around 40 minutes).
For domestic and international air travel, Stansted Airport is 15 miles from the development.
