Colchester Zoo, renowned for its conservation programme, is 10 minutes’ drive away; Colchester Castle and Castle Park are around 15 minutes’ drive away and Leisure World, with facilities including three swimming pools, a gym, fitness studios, spa and sports hall, can be reached in around 10 minutes by car.
The nearest train stations to the development are Marks Tey and Colchester North, both around 10 minutes’ drive from Aspen Walk. Regular services run to Chelmsford, London Liverpool Street and Ipswich from both, but non-stop services to London run from Colchester North only. Trains to and from Norwich also stop at Colchester North.
Major roads within convenient distance of the development include the A120 (for Harwich, Braintree, Great Dunmow and Bishop’s Stortford) and the A12 (for Chelmsford, Romford, London, Ipswich and Lowestoft).
Stansted Airport is 30 miles away via the A120.
