For day-to-day shopping, there are several convenience stores within close proximity to Awel Y Môr, and two supermarkets are situated around a mile away.

Residents of these new homes in Ty Coch will find excellent retail opportunities in Swansea city centre. Here, a wealth of high-street names can be found sitting alongside large department stores, particularly in the pedestrianised area around Oxford Street. Quadrant Shopping Centre is a popular mall for those who enjoy well-known brands, designer names and department stores.

The city is also home to numerous specialist retailers and independent boutiques. For vintage buys, head to Castle Arcade - one of several shopping arcades which houses independent traders. Further independent shopping can be enjoyed at Swansea Market - hailed as Wales’ largest indoor market – open six days a week and boasting over 100 stalls, offering a wide selection of fresh, local produce and gifts. The market also has several cafés and coffee shops.

Leisure and entertainment

A selection of independent cafés, restaurants and traditional pubs can be found within walking distance of the development, including along Ty Coch Road, and in the nearby suburb of Sketty.

Residents can also enjoy excellent, fresh sea food and traditional ice cream parlours at the popular seaside resort of Mumbles, around 15 minutes’ drive from the development. Transport

Awel Y Môr is superbly placed for travel into Swansea, which can be accessed in approximately ten minutes by car, via the A4118. Alternatively, several local bus services run through Ty Coch, connecting it to Swansea and surrounding areas. For rail travel, Swansea train station is less than three miles away from the development and provides regular services to Manchester, London, Cardiff and Bristol.

International travel is covered by Cardiff Airport, which is just over an hours’ drive from the development, via the M4.
