The vibrant town of Northwich is just 2.5 miles north of Wildings Croft, and home to some fascinating outdoor leisure pursuits which capture the beauty of the Cheshire countryside. Delamere Forest is the largest wooded area in Cheshire and covers a spectacular 950 hectares of grassland, woodland and wetland, all ripe for exploration by adventurers of any age. The famous Go Ape adventure facility forms part of the Delamere Forest, and boasts zip wires, Tarzan swings, rope ladders, obstacles and a Segway.

The Northwich Woodlands is within walking distance of the town centre, and made of up nine fascinating countryside sites, covering 350 hectares of parkland. Just over one mile from the development is Moulton School for under elevens, while Hartford Primary School, Hartford Manor Community Primary School and St. Wilfred’s Catholic Primary School can all be reached within a 10-minute drive.

Secondary schools in the area are equally impressive, and also can be reached within a short drive. These include The County High School Leftwich (1.2 miles), Sir John Deane’s College (1.5 miles) and St. Nicholas Catholic High School (3.3 miles).

Those pursuing further study may consider one of the three award-winning universities within a 50 minute drive: the University of Chester, the University of Manchester and the University of Liverpool.

 

Transport

Wildings Croft is seven miles from junction 18 of the M6 via the A54, and eight miles from junction 19 via the A556. From the M6, there are routes to Warrington and Crewe, as well as the M56 and M62 toward Manchester, Leeds and Chester.

Those travelling by public transport will find regular half hourly bus services from Davenham to Northwich. Rail services are available from Hartford Station, less than three miles away, which provides direct access to Crewe (13 minutes), Liverpool (30 minutes) and Birmingham (1 hour 10 minutes). Alternatively, Greenbank station is approximately three miles away, and provides direct services to Chester (28 minutes), Manchester (1 hour, 7 minutes) and Stockport (53 minutes).

International travel is afforded by Manchester airport, which can be reached in less than half an hour by car.
