The Landings will be located within reach of a great choice of leisure amenities, including lush outdoor spaces and indoor, family-friendly activities. The proposed development will be within walking distance of Airlift Hill, a new park created on the historic former Burtonwood Airbase site, which offers peaceful walking routes and breathtaking panoramic views. A five-minute car journey from the prospective development brings you to Sankey Valley Park, a leafy park and nature reserve stretching alongside Sankey Brook and the old Sankey Canal.

A large multiplex cinema is a couple of minutes’ drive from the anticipated development, while Warrington town centre will be just a 10-minute car journey away. Warrington town centre also offers an impressive choice of restaurants and bars, particularly in and around Palmyra Square in the Cultural Quarter, ideal for pre-concert dining or post-shopping refuelling. The town centre is located just 10 minutes from the planned location of The Landings.

Gemini Retail Park is situated a short drive from the proposed development, providing out-of-town shopping and major retailers, including the UK’s first IKEA store. For everyday grocery shopping, there is a large supermarket just over a mile away.

Stockton Heath village is a popular destination renowned for its diverse culinary scene. From upmarket bistros and brasseries to Japanese teppanyaki restaurants and Indian curry houses, London Road and the surrounding streets have restaurants for every occasion, plus chic bars to make an evening of your visit.

Families with children will find several well-regarded primary schools in the area, including St Philip Westbrook CE Primary School and Barrow Hall Primary School, both of which are situated around a mile away. Chapelford Village Primary School and Callands Community Primary school can also be reached within a five-minute drive of the proposed development.

For secondary-age students, Great Sankey High School is situated just over a mile away, while St Gregory’s Catholic High School and Penketh High School are less than 10 minutes’ drive away.

Warrington and Vale Royal College, and UTC Warrington provide an extensive choice of further education courses and apprenticeships. For higher education, Liverpool, Manchester, Salford, Chester, and Preston all have prestigious universities, and are within commutable distance of Warrington by car or train.

The Landings will be situated just a short drive from Junction 8 of the M62, giving access to central Liverpool in just over 30 minutes and Manchester in around 40 minutes, and also providing a key transport link to Leeds and the M6.

Warrington’s town centre is within a 10-minute drive of the anticipated development, via the A57 Liverpool Road.

Two railway stations are located around two miles, or about five minutes’ drive, away from The Landings: Warrington West, which has a large car park, and Sankey for Penketh. A service between Manchester Oxford Road and Liverpool Lime Street passes both stations.

There are also two railway stations in Warrington town centre, providing further services to Liverpool and Manchester, as well as to Leeds, York, Chester, Crewe and London.

For international travel, Liverpool John Lennon Airport will be around 20 minutes away from The Landings by car, while Manchester Airport can be reached in under 25 minutes.
