Live music, drama, comedy and family shows are staged at the Town Hall Theatre, while the Borough Hall also plays host to regular sporting and entertainment events throughout the year. Hartlepool Art Gallery displays a permanent fine art collection and work by local artists, and the Museum of Hartlepool features displays charting the town’s history from the Bronze Age to the present day.

Moving from town to countryside, the picturesque village of Elwick is just two miles to the west of these new homes in Hartlepool and features a traditional village green, children’s play area and football pitch. Ward Jackson Park, a mile from the development, also has a children’s play area, and Summerhill Country Park, two away, is a local nature reserve and outdoor activity centre, with facilities for climbing, archery, cycling and nature study.

Major roads easily accessible from Elwick Grove include the A19, A179 and A689. Hartlepool Railway Station is a 10-minute drive away and from there regular services run to Sunderland, Newcastle, Stockton, Middlesbrough, York and London Kings Cross.

For domestic and international air travel, Durham Tees Valley Airport is 25 minutes and Newcastle Airport 45 minutes away by car.
