Battalion Court is a proposed development of new homes in Woolwich, conveniently situated for accessing local transport services into London. This area is rich in military heritage, having been a principal naval and munitions site for around 400 years, and is now undergoing significant regeneration. Plans for reinvigorating the area include leisure, cultural and commercial facilities, as well as a new Crossrail station, scheduled to open in December 2018.

The anticipated product mix of 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments will enjoy a quality specification and will embrace desirable design features, such as en suite shower rooms, open-plan living spaces and integrated kitchen appliances. All properties will have balconies and cycle stores will be available for residents.

For professionals commuting to London and Docklands, the proposed development is ideally situated for accessing public transport. Woolwich Arsenal and Woolwich Dockyard railway stations are both a 10-minute walk away and from there trains run to Greenwich, Deptford, Lewisham and London (Cannon Street, London Bridge, Waterloo East and Charing Cross), among other destinations. Docklands Light Railway trains also stop at Woolwich Arsenal and from there it is a five-minute journey to London City Airport, with services continuing to Stratford International and Bank. London Underground services can also be accessed at many DLR stations. With the arrival of the Crossrail Elizabeth line at the end of 2018, journey times are expected to be eight minutes to Canary Wharf, 14 minutes to Liverpool Street and 22 minutes to central London (Bond Street).

Residents of these new homes in Woolwich will discover a wealth of shopping possibilities within easy reach. Bluewater at Greenhithe, Canary Wharf Shopping Centre and Westfield Stratford City are all around 30 minutes’ drive from Battalion Court and between them offer hundreds of high-street, independent, boutique and specialist stores, as well as restaurants, cafés, bars and cinemas.

Locally, several supermarkets are situated within 10 minutes’ walk of the development and a selection of shops can be found along Powis Street and Hare Street. In addition, a market takes place six days a week in Beresford Square, 10 minutes’ walk away, and a farmers’ market is held twice a month in Artillery Square, around 15 minutes’ walk away.

Sports facilities include the Waterfront Leisure Centre, which has two swimming pools, a sports hall, gym, exercise studios and squash courts; football and rugby pitches within Charlton Park and tennis courts at Maryon Park – all within 15 minutes’ walk of the development. Charlton Lido and Lifestyle Club, with its heated outdoor swimming pool, is located within Hornfair Park, which is also home to a BMX track and open-air cycle studio, and can be reached in around five minutes by car.

Wheelchair adaptable properties are available. For further information regarding these new homes in Woolwich, please contact our sales team on 01689 886426.
