Sports enthusiasts are well catered for: Waddon Leisure Centre can be reached in around 10 minutes by car and offers a range of facilities, including swimming pools, a sports hall, a gym and exercise studios; South Croydon Sports Club, less than three miles away, has a number of tennis and badminton clubs, while football pitches are located at Canterbury Road Recreation Ground and within Lloyd Park, five minutes’ walk away and around 10 minutes’ drive away respectively. Mitcham Common, less than 20 minutes’ walk from Lombard House, provides a picturesque open space, popular with walkers and runners; it is also home to Mitcham Golf Club and an 18-hole golf course.
