West End Quarter is an impressive development of new homes in Folkestone, situated within a conservation area and designed to be in keeping with existing buildings nearby.

This collection of 2-bedroom apartments and 2, 3 and 4-bedroom houses is available in a variety of styles, certain to appeal to a wide audience of potential purchasers, including families, commuters and first-time buyers.

Properties offer a high specification with quality fixtures and fittings, including some kitchen appliances, as well as desirable design features, such as open-plan living spaces and en suite bathrooms. The houses all have gardens and all homes have garages, or allocated parking.

Folkestone is popular with commuters who work in London, but want a slower pace of life at weekends and the leisure opportunities afforded by coastal living. The M20 and A20 can be reached in a few minutes by car, for travel to Ashford, Maidstone, the M25, London and Dover. The nearest train station – Folkestone West – is a 10-minute walk from West End Quarter and services from there run into London Waterloo East and London Charing Cross. High speed services also stop at Folkestone West with journey times to London St Pancras of 52 minutes.

For families, well-regarded schools in the area include Sandgate Primary School, Folkestone Academy, The Harvey Grammar School and The Folkestone School for Girls.

The town’s main shopping district is just a mile from these new homes in Folkestone with popular chain and independent stores in the Bouverie Shopping Centre and along Sandgate Road. In addition, a new creative quarter has emerged along the Old High Street and around the harbour, with specialist retailers, art galleries, cafés, bars and restaurants attracting both locals and tourists from outside the area.

Leisure opportunities here are plentiful and being so close to the sea, watersports are particularly popular, with sailing, diving, kayaking and windsurfing all available. Two beaches –Sunny Sands and Folkestone Beach – lie next to the harbour and attract many visitors, especially in summer. Family favourite Lower Leas Coastal Park, just off Folkestone Beach, is home to an adventure playground, gardens, a wildlife area and an amphitheatre – a setting for outdoor events during the warmer months.

East Cliff and Warren Country Park, just over two miles from West End Quarter, is home to around 150 species of birds and is said to be one of the best fossil hunting sites in the south of England. Guided walks, exhibitions and children’s events are held there regularly throughout the year.

Moving away from the coast, the town also sits at the edge of the North Downs, which extends across two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is a haven for ramblers, cyclists and horse riders, as well as those who simply want to explore the countryside, historic monuments and villages that lie within them.

“Buying off plan was one of the best things we’ve done. It definitely feels more like our house, as we have been able to put our signature on it by choosing the fittings.”
