Further afield, Westfield at Stratford, London, is one of the largest shopping and leisure malls in Europe and can be reached by car, or train, in 30 minutes. It offers more than 250 stores, a variety of restaurants and cafés, a bowling alley and a 17-screen state-of-the-art cinema.

Closer to home, there are cinemas at Romford and Basildon, while in town, Brentwood Arts Cinema Club hosts monthly screenings of arthouse, classic and foreign language films.

For fans of more active pursuits, the Brentwood Centre has a variety of sports facilities, including two swimming pools, sports courts, a gym and exercise studios, while Brentwood Park Ski and Snowboard Centre at Warley Gap offers a range of courses. In addition, residents of these new homes in Brentwood will find a wealth of green space in the immediate vicinity, including Warley Country Park just five minutes drive away and Weald Country Park with its acres of walking trails and cycling paths, 10 minutes drive away.
