Wokingham is a popular commuter town in the Royal county of Berkshire, and lies southeast of Reading. From junction 10 of the M4, Keephatch Gardens is about five minutes’ drive away.

Wokingham is home to both St Crispin's Leisure Centre and Carnival Pool and Fitness Centre. The former includes a gym, an astroturf pitch, squash courts and a sports hall, while the latter boasts a gym and three swimming pools. Additionally, Keephatch Gardens also has its own BMX track. 

Further leisure facilities can be found in Reading, including an indoor ski slope, several climbing centres and a trampoline park.

For outdoor pursuits, Wokingham has areas of open, green spaces and parkland, including Dinton Pastures Country Park where visitors will find 450 acres of lakes, meadows, pathways and woodland. In Reading, Wellington Country Park features adventure and children's play areas, lakes, an activity centre and several walking trails. Both parks are ideal for activities such as picnics, water sports, hiking and running.

There are several family-friendly attractions within the Royal county of Berkshire. Windsor Castle and LEGOLAND® Windsor are two popular, places of interest which can both be reached within approximately 25 minutes’ drive from Keephatch Gardens.

For live entertainment, The Hexagon is a popular theatre in Reading, which presents regular plays and performances, while London offers several theatres in its famous West End district.

For daily essentials, the nearest supermarket is a four-minute drive from Keephatch Gardens.

Wokingham is a popular market town, offering a good selection of independent shops and brand names, as well as hosting both a weekly market and a monthly farmers’ market. Residents also benefit from family-friendly dining options within the town centre, including cafés, bars and restaurants.

For further retail experiences, nearby Reading offers everything from well-known brand names to designer labels and independent boutiques. Harris Arcade presents a collection of quirky retailers, while the Oracle Shopping Centre is home to over 80 big-name stores and includes a multi-screen cinema.

Reading also has a vibrant dining scene; the town presents a variety of restaurants, pubs, bars, cafés and tea rooms, from independents to well-known chains. There are also several dining options in and around the Oracle shopping centre, including a riverside area outside the mall, which is home to a number of pubs, bars and restaurants.

For special occasions, L’Ortolan is Reading’s only Michelin-starred restaurant. Set in a country manor, its menu is inspired by French cuisine and uses seasonal, local produce.

Closer to home, residents can visit the The Oakingham Belle - which is a pub situated on the development itself - where visitors can choose from a wide range of delicious options. 

Families are well catered for, with a selection of well-regarded schools nearby, including both St Theresa's Catholic and All Saints CofE primary schools, which are both around five minutes' drive from the development. For high school students, St Crispin's School is less than a mile away from Keephatch Gardens, while both The Emmbrook School and Holt School (for girls) are both situated within a ten-minute drive.

There is also a selection of highly reputable independent schools within the local area, the nearest of which is Newbold School, which serves children aged two to 11, and Cressex Lodge for pupils aged 11 to 17. Both schools are under five minutes away by car.

For higher education, Reading University is less than 15 minutes’ drive from the development.

Keephatch Gardens benefits from a range of good local road links, including ease of access to the M3, M4 and M25.

Reading can be accessed in under a 20-minute drive, while London is just over an hour away.

Wokingham train station is within a mile and a half from the development and provides regular services to destinations such as Reading, Gatwick Airport and London Waterloo.

For international travel, Heathrow Airport is around half an hours’ drive from the development.
