When Abigail Watson and Jamie Sanderson wanted to buy their first home together they chose Bellway. The young couple had their heart’s set on a new build in Ingleby Barwick, Durham.
For Abigail Watson and Jamie Sanderson finding their dream house was easy – it had to be Ingleby Manor in Ingleby Barwick, Abigail’s childhood home.
“The development is just around the corner from where I grew up, so it’s very convenient to have family and friends that live close by,” says Abigail. “I could see building work progressing on site and I became more and more invested in the homes I could see taking shape.”
Having already decided where they wanted to live, the couple began to look into the option of a new build.
“We knew it would be the best direction to go in as we have limited time to work on the house,” says Abigail.

Abigail and Jamie – who had previously lived with their parents – chose the 3 bedroom Peony as their first property together. The open-plan kitchen, dining and family area, as well as the south-facing garden were particular attractions.
