For residents of Barleycorn Way, there are plenty of local attractions and leisure facilities on offer. Around a mile away from the development is the Little Wold Vineyard, a family-run vineyard that offers wine-tasting tours to visitors.

Roughly a five-minute drive from Barleycorn Way is Cave Castle Hotel and Country Club, a beautiful building set in 150 acres of land, offering a spa, an 18-hole golf course, and a health club.

A little over four miles away from the development is North Cave Wetlands, a local nature reserve that consists of an assortment of lakes, reed beds, and walking trails – ideal for adventurous residents.

At just a 30-minute drive, nearby Hull offers a variety of options in the way of entertainment and leisure facilities, with museums, galleries, aquariums, and much more on offer.

Less than 20 minutes’ drive from the development is Anlaby Retail Park, which provides a variety of stores, eateries, and a gym.

South Cave is blessed with a number of dining options, with a range of pubs and kitchens within a short drive – less than five minutes – of the development. In addition, nearby Brough, under four miles from Barleycorn Way, also has several restaurants and eateries.

Under 10 minutes’ drive from the development is Brough train station, offering services directly to Hull, a 15-minute trip, and Leeds, a 50-minute journey, for those looking to commute for work.

For residents who drive, not much more than 15 miles away from Barleycorn Way is Hull city centre. Alternatively, Leeds is under an hour’s drive from the development. Barleycorn Way is also ideal for those working in York, which is around 30 miles away.

There are several well-regarded schools in the area of Barleycorn Way, including; North Cave C of E Primary School, which is around three miles from the development; Elloughton Primary School, about a 7-minute drive from the development; South Cave C of E Primary School, which is under a mile away from the site; and Brough Primary School, which is around four miles away from Barleycorn Way.

Any older students are able to reach South Hunsley School and Sixth Form College within a 10-minute drive of the development.
