The Listed at Ottermead is located off North Road, around 10 minutes’ drive from the centre of Ponteland and 25 minutes’ by car from the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne. The development is situated next to Ottermead at Jameson Manor and is conveniently located for accessing major roads, such as the A1 and the A69. Newcastle International Airport is just three miles away.

The development lies within the administrative boundaries of Ponteland Town Council and Northumberland County Council.

Well-regarded schools for younger children include Darras Hall, Richard Coates CE and Ponteland primary schools. Ponteland High School, two miles from The Listed at Ottermead, is a popular local secondary school and sixth form.

Residents will find several supermarkets in Ponteland town centre, and slightly further afield, in Kingston Park and Westerhope. A selection of fashion and lifestyle stores, as well as cafés are also located in Kingston Park.

Ponteland Park is popular with families and is just a few minutes’ drive from The Listed. It has a children’s playground, wildflower meadow, nature reserve and wooded area. The nearby leisure centre offers a wide range of facilities and classes, such as swimming, football and archery. Ponteland Golf Club is less than two miles from the development.

The town centre is home to a number of restaurants, cafés and traditional pubs serving a range of food, from traditional British to vegan, Chinese and Indian cuisines.

Northumberland boasts many stately homes and castles, such as Belsay Hall, Wallington House and Bamburgh Castle. The countryside is peaceful though rugged, and excellent for outdoor pursuits, while the coast is renowned for its sandy beaches at Bamburgh and Druridge Bay, and its traditional fishing communities, such as Seahouses and Craster.

The Listed is nine miles from the centre of Newcastle. Local Metro services stop at Callerton Parkway and Newcastle Airport for travel to the coast and to Newcastle. Mainline train services run from Newcastle Central Station to many destinations around the country, including York, London and Edinburgh.

Major roads nearby include the A1, the A69 and the A19. For domestic and international flights, Newcastle Airport is 10 minutes away by car via the A696.
