Showfields is located in Haydon Bridge, a village nestled in the Northumberland countryside, around six miles from Hexham, 28 miles from Newcastle upon Tyne and 30 miles from Carlisle.
A small supermarket can be found in the centre of the village along with several other shops, while Hexham, 10 minutes away by car, hosts a twice weekly market and a twice monthly farmers’ market in Market Place. The town’s vibrant commercial district is focused around Fore Street, St Mary’s Chare and Market Street with independents and high-street retailers welcoming shoppers from surrounding villages and further afield.
Eating out locally is catered for by three traditional village pubs all within 10 minutes’ walk of Showfields, or for fine dining steeped in history, Langley Castle Hotel is less than two miles away. Hexham, too, is home to a variety of cafés, bars and restaurants.
