Timperley is situated in Altrincham, and lies to the north of Manchester. From junction 6 of the M56, The Nurseries is about a 10-minute drive away.

Sporting venues nearby include Timperley Sports Club (home to hockey, cricket and lacrosse clubs), Altrincham & District Athletics Club, Altrincham Golf Course and Altrincham Leisure Centre, which counts two swimming pools, a sports hall, gym, and exercise studio among its facilities. Hale Country Club, which has indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a spa, gym and exercise studios, is just five minutes’ walk from The Nurseries.

Shopping

Shopping locally is focused on Timperley village, which has several supermarkets and assorted independent stores, as well as cafés, restaurants and traditional pubs. Boutiques and fashionable eateries can also be found in the village of Hale, two miles away, while Altrincham – five minutes’ away by car – is home to a good selection of high-street stores.

The Trafford Centre, with almost 300 shops, is a 20-minute drive from the development, and Manchester city centre and Salford Quays, for outlet shopping, can both be reached by car in 30 minutes.

Education

For families, The Nurseries is within easy reach of a number of well-regarded schools. Cloverlea Primary School is around 10 minutes’ walk away and Willows Primary School 20 minutes’ walk away, while for older children Wellington School is less than a mile and Loreto Grammar School less than two miles from the development.

Altrincham Grammar School for Girls and Altrincham Grammar School for Boys, both popular selective schools, can be reached in less than 10 minutes by car.

Transport

Major roads easily accessible from the development include the A560, M56 and the M60. The village also has a Metrolink station, which is five minutes’ drive away, on the Altrincham to Bury and the Altrincham to Manchester Piccadilly lines.

Altrincham and Navigation Road railway stations are also around five minutes’ drive from the development, with frequent services running to Chester, Stockport and Manchester Piccadilly. Manchester Airport is less than three miles away via Thorley Lane.
