Fielders Quarter at Barking Riverside is situated off Sackett Road, Barking. For tube services, the nearest London Underground station is Upney (District Line), just over two miles away, while Barking Overground station is three miles away (for District, Hammersmith and City lines). Barking Riverside also has access to the London Overground service through its newly opened station, just 14 minutes’ walk away. Regular local bus services connect the development with nearby areas, including central London, and major roads easily accessed from Fielders Quarter Phase 3 include the A13, A12 and A406 North Circular. For travel by water into the city, Barking Riverside Pier provides access to the Thames Clipper service and is just over half a miles’ walk from the development.

The local area of Barking Riverside has been designed with leisure in mind – green space is available in local parks and a nature reserve, fitness and sports facilities are on the doorstep, plus incorporated walking and cycle routes run throughout. Barking Sporthouse and Gym is an 11-minute drive away and offers a range of fitness equipment for everyone, as well as regular fitness classes, a trampoline and play park, a sports hall, a climbing facility, an outdoor basketball court, and a skatepark.

The Ripple Nature Reserve is less than a mile away from the site and is an excellent location for outdoor exercise. The Thames riverside is also a short walk away and provides an historic backdrop for walks. The Broadway Theatre is an 11-minute drive away and offers a comprehensive range of entertainment. Central London – just 12 miles away – presents world-renowned leisure and entertainment, including West End stage shows, legendary music venues, plus a diverse array of buskers and street performers.

The Barking Riverside regeneration has seen the number of well-regarded schools in the local area sharply increase, with more to come. For those with younger children, George Carey Church of England Primary School is a four-minute walk from the site, while Pathways School and Roding Primary School are a four and six-minute drive away, respectively.

Those of secondary school age have Riverside School, a six-minute drive away, which champions excellence for all. Jo Richardson Community School and Goresbrook School are both available within a 15-minute drive.

For those considering higher Education, London offers an excellent selection of universities, including the prestigious Imperial College London, King’s College London, and the London School of Economics – all within an hour’s drive of the development.

Barking Riverside has access to the London Overground service through its newly opened station, just 14 minutes’ walk away. This will connect the area to Fenchurch Street in around 20 minutes, and offer connections to several London Underground lines, including the newly opened Elizabeth line.

The EL1 bus route – just a short walk from the site – operates 24 hours a day and links the development with Barking Station. The Thames Clipper service is available from Barking Pier, just a 14-minute walk away, and offers regular departures to 24 piers across the Thames, including Canary Wharf and London Bridge City.

London City Airport is under six miles away, offering a range of destinations worldwide.

There are several well-known supermarkets within a 10-minute drive of the site, plus several local convenience stores for everyday essentials within walking distance. Barking Riverside is also expecting new commercial centres, so shopping will become even more local once this is completed. Vicarage Field Shopping Centre is 14 minutes’ drive away and offers a range of independent boutiques, as well as high street favourites, plus a selection of cafés, bars, and restaurants.

London offers some of the best shopping and dining destinations in the world, and the whole city is easily accessible through the transport links provided at Barking Riverside. London is the second most Michelin-starred city in Europe, providing unique dining experiences with tastes from all around the world – in keeping with the city’s culturally diverse history.

Canary Wharf, Oxford Street, Regent Street, Bond Street, and Mayfair are some of the most famous shopping destinations in the world, drawing tourism all year round. At Barking Riverside, they’re on the doorstep.
