Around eight and a half miles from Mousley Park is Paradise Island Adventure Golf, which houses more than 14,000 square feet of amazing adventure golf facilities. Here, guests are able navigate their way through shipwrecks, sea caves, rainforests, and even a bazaar. This is an idyllic place for families to spend the day.

Just over a seven-minute drive from Hilton is the Broughton Heath Golf Course, which is an 18-hole golf course that was established back in 1998. Set over 42 acres of land, the course incorporates lakes, trees, ditches, and other hazards, making in fun for professionals and amateurs alike.

Less than 10 miles away is Hawksflight Falconry, an educational experience centre where visitors are able to learn all about birds of prey, and handle some of the hawks, buzzards, kestrels, and owls that call the place home. The centre aims to educate on the conservation of these species of birds, and about each of their respective hunting styles and living environments.

Another one for the family is Alton Towers Theme Park, which is only around a 35-minute trip by car. From thrilling 100kph rollercoasters to the child-friendly CBeebies Land, there’s something for all the family.  

Shopping and dining

Under eight miles from the development are Burton Place Shopping Centre, Coopers Square, and the Octagon Shopping Centre, where there a variety of eateries, high-street stores, and other retail options. For the day-to-day essentials, there is a large supermarket just half a mile away from Mousley Park.

For items such as fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers, and fish, there is a regular outdoor market every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in Burton-upon-Trent, which will take around 20 minutes in a car.  

A little over eight miles away from Mousley Park is the Intu Derby Shopping Centre, where everything from fashion through to bowling is on offer.   

For special occasions, a night out, or just a quick bite, Hilton offers a selection of pubs, restaurants, and other eateries. From home-cooked pub food at the Hilton House through to breakfast and brunch at The Shed, there are plenty of options close to Mousley Park.

Further afield, the surrounding towns and villages offer a variety of other delicious options, with Indian, Nepalese, and Chinese specialities all available within 10 minutes’ drive of the development.


Willington Train Station is only around four miles away from Mousley Park, and provides regular services to all the nearest cities, including Birmingham, Derby, and Nottingham, making the area ideal for those that are looking to commute.

For road access, Mousley Park is ideally situated, with convenient routes available to a variety of nearby towns and cities. Burton-upon-Trent, under a 15-minute drive, Derby, less than a 10-mile trip, and Leicester, just 45 minutes away by car, are all easily accessible.


Just a seven-minute walk from the development is the Hilton Primary School, and there are two nurseries within a five-minute walk of Mousley Park, Little Stars Day Nursery and Cherry Tree Day Nursery. In addition, there is also Etwall Primary School, which is just over a mile away, and Heath Fields Primary School, which is a little over a five-minute drive.

For older students, Staffordshire University, the University of Derby, and Nottingham Trent University are all within a 30-minute drive of Mousley Park.
